West Tennessee Detention Facility Reopening
The local facility landscape changed recently. West Tennessee Detention Facility had been idle since September 2021. CoreCivic announced a new Mason and ICE intergovernmental service agreement in August 2025, and independent reporting confirmed that detainees began arriving in September 2025.
